The LKRA Scholarship Fund - “Protecting, Preserving and Enhancing”
With an eye on protecting, preserving and enhancing our piece of paradise, Lido Key Residents Association is finalizing a partnership with Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium with funds aimed to support their programs interns. In June of 2023 and again in June of 2024, $3000 scholarships were awarded by LKRA to need based high school and college students that demonstrated interest in an environmental education.
Once the partnership is formally completed LKRA will undergo a fund-raising effort to endow the scholarship providing support in perpetuity. 100% of donations our members and supporters make will be placed in this fund. Mote will manage the scholarship. More information on that will coming out in Fall 2024.
In the interim, LKRA has set up a separate bank account with donations from members are deposited into that account.
