2025 Annual Member Breakfast
Annual Breakfast Meetings are held starting at 9:00 am on the 3rd Saturday of February. followed by a Membership Meeting starting around 10:00 am.
2025 Annual Breakfast Meeting: Special guest for our 2025 Annual Meeting will be Florida's 17th Congressional District Representative Greg Steube (baring any last-minute issues he needs to be in Washington).
- Date: Saturday, February 15th, 2025.
- Cost: $30.00 a person (buffet breakfast)
- Time: 9:00 am
- Location: The 8th floor, Lido Beach Resort, 700 Benjamin Franklin Dr, Sarasota
Note: Following breakfast (around 10:00 am), LKRA will host their Annual Membership Meeting. No reservations or cost required for this part of the meeting.
2024 Annual Membership Meeting:
In 2024, Mote Marine's Aly Busse, Associate VP for Education (pictured) presented Mote's vision for improving communities’ access to marine science and technology while enabling Mote’s scientific progress on City Island. We got a preview at their Mote Science Education Aquarium (Mote SEA) going in at Benderson Park with emphasis on education of students around the world.

2025 LKRA Night at FST - THE TONY, GRAMMY® & OLIVIER AWARD-WINNING BEST MUSICAL - JERSEY BOYS
Member Pat Nicosia working with Florida Studio Theatre has created a very special evening for LKRA.
- Date: Wednesday. April 16, 2025
- Pre-Theatre Reception (Appetizers & Cash Bar): 6:30 - 7:40 pm at the Goldstein Cabaret Theatre, 1239 N Palm Ave. Come share an evening with friends and neighbors and meet some of the cast.
- Showtime: The award-winning production will be at 8:00 pm at the Gompertz Theatre, 1265 1st Street a short walk from the Goldstein Cabaret Theatre.
- Cost: Tickets: 47.20 + $2.00 handling Fee = $49.20. Reception: $15.00. Total Cost for Ticket & Reception = $64.20

- If booking a new ticket, not exchanging a previously purchased ticket, book by clicking on this link or by calling the Box Office: (941) 366-9000. Either way enter or give the Promo Code LIDO. Note: if you order online and enter LIDO in the Promotional Code box, you will be directed to a page that will include the price with reception ($64.20) and access to the block of seats. When calling the Box Office simply give the Promo Code LIDO to the Box Office Associate.
- If someone needs to exchange their current tickets into this performance, and then only purchase tickets to the reception they will need to call Korinna Perez-Nunez, Management Assistant at 941-366-9017 ext. 314. You will be able to exchange tickets for this performance and just pay for the reception.
LKRA's 2025 Beach Party
We have reserved the Lido Beach Resort for the 2025 LKRA Beach Party. The party will be on the beach, with bad weather backup in the ballroom. The date is Friday, April 4th. the Committee working with Opal Properties is putting together yet another fabulous party. Check back for party theme and cost. For now, mark your calendars saving April 4, 2025
LKRA's 2024 Beach Party: "Cheeseburger in Paradise"
Held on April 5th at the Sandcastle Resort beach. Over 160 paid party goers had a memorable evening with a Tin Cup Chalace welcome drink and wonderful appetizers. The island style dinner buffet and dessert bar was outstanding. The decorations were befitting a Jimmy Buffet celebration. Party goers played games, enjoyed the firepits and saw a spectacular Lido Beach "green flash" sunset. DJ JoeyD had the group singing and dancing. We all will have memories of our photo booth shoot. Kudo's to the Beach Party committee for all the planning and work that it takes to make this kind of event happen. A huge shout out to the staff and management of the Sandcastle and affiliated Ocean Properties for both the big things and the little things you graciously provided to make this event happen.!
