This Event Was a Celebration!

LKRA's 50th Anniversary Gala, March 31, 2022, was a celebration of the past accomplishments of Lido Key residents, our neighborhood association and our community involvement since 1972.  A Very Special Thank-You Goes Out To:

  • Speaker John McCarthy, VP Regional History, Marie Selby Gardens
  • Staff of Holiday Inn, Lido Beach Resort and Longboat Key Club
  • Ocean Properties for helping underwrite the gala
  • Joined At the Hip for great music throughout the evening
  • 50 Year Gala Committee for putting on a perfect event (Debbie, Diane, Pat, Heidi and Kathy you are a tough act to follow).

Fillmore Lot Development

A developer trio (John and Gavin Meshad and Dennis McGillicuddy) conceptualized a mixed-use project for the Fillmore Parking Lot, currently owned by the city.  Their project included a 98-room hotel, 6 townhomes and a 15,000-square-foot grocery plus 270 covered public parking spaces to replace the ones currently on the site.
