Sarasota, FL: Sarasota has been reaffirmed as one of the top 10 Best Places to Live in the U.S. for 2022-23 and moved up to No. 1 in Florida, according to U.S. News & World Report. The Sarasota area is No. 9 overall on the annual Best Places to Live list, which ranks metro areas based on quality of life, job market, value and desirability. “People who choose Sarasota as their home are generally called by its unique charm,” the report observes. "One of the city’s up-and-coming neighborhoods is the Rosemary District, where eclectic murals decorate storefronts and modern condominiums, and hotels sit near casual breakfast cafes." The 2022 rankings also have Sarasota: #3 in Fastest-Growing Places; #7 in Safest Places to Live and #15 in Best Places to Live for Quality of Life.
#6. Sarasota: " Another destination ranked highly for its quality of life, Sarasota, Florida, is a Gulf Coast gem. Sarasota has a range of unique attractions, including the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, which features a collection of circus antiques. Nearby Lido Key and Siesta Key offer beautiful sandy beaches."
"Sarasota is proving itself a vital cultural capital with the new Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College and Phase 1 of The Bay, a project to redevelop 53 acres of city land into a bayfront public park. And across the John Ringling Causeway, two upscale beachfront properties recently unveiled major renovations: the Lido Beach Pavilion and the Resort at Longboat Key Club, both superior spots to watch the sun set over the shimmering Gulf waters". —Brad Japhe TIME July 2021
