Protecting, Preserving and Enhancing our piece of paradise!
Membership is open to everyone. Whether Lido Key is your homestead, a favorite spot to spend the season, a great place to vacation or just a place you care passionately about, we welcome you.
Under the organizational leadership of our Officers and Board of Directors, LKRA hosts a number of events and activities:
LKRA provides members an opportunity to learn about and be involved in on-going Lido Key projects, protecting our coastal wildlife habitats and being prepared for an emergency.
LKRA, formed in 1972 and incorporated in 1980, is one of the largest Community Associations in Sarasota. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit we operate exclusively for education and charitable purposes.
LKRA is an active member of the Coalition of City Neighborhood Associations (CCNA) and works in unison with their 30+ member associations to preserve and enhance all of our City's vibrant neighborhoods.
We are respected for our ability to act in concert with other local organizations and businesses and with both the City of Sarasota and Sarasota County governments to improve the general welfare of our entire community.
Promote the maintenance and improvement of the residential quality of Lido Key and its parks and beaches,
Safeguard property rights and promote the general welfare of Lido Key
Encourage and promote mutual understanding and cooperation among the residents of Lido Key and an appreciation of situations and problems common to all residents and to advise and assist each other in their solution.
Exchange ideas and information, and to sponsor programs and activities for the protection and enhancement of the residential quality of the area.
