Residents of Sarasota County (including Lido Key) may take accepted items generated from non-business related activities to one of the County's Chemical Collection Centers for safe disposal free of charge. This popular asphalt-paved multi-use trail is more than 10 miles long and extends from Sarasota to Venice. Formerly a railroad corridor, the trail passes through a variety of unique habitats and includes a series of interpretive signs and stop stations. For more information visit Legacy Trail Updates.
Breeze OnDemand is a public, on-demand transit service. It can provide public transportation throughout Sarasota County. The fare is $2.00. Travel 7 days a week: Monday - Saturday 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. From Lido, you will need to get to the Transportation Hub in downtown Sarasota. The City of Sarasota has added an open-air trolley, The Bay Runner, that has key stops along a route from South Lido through downtown Sarasota including a stop near the Transportation Hub.
